Every person has a unique experience interacting with the world. I was fascinated in studying psychology to understand how our similarities in thought and behavior tied these experiences together. In addition, my interest in technology grew as it became increasingly integrated into our everyday lives. With the impact and reach that it has, I believe that inclusivity and accessibility must be at its core.
UX design is what I gravitated to at the intersection of these fields. I love the creativity it allows while solving real problems to help people. As a designer, I believe that growth is a never-ending process and by approaching everything with an open mind, we can challenge ourselves to continue learning about the people and things around us.
I'm currently a UX Designer at Amazon Web Services on the Containers team. Working in a highly technical space has pushed me to challenge my design thinking and dig deep in understanding users. I recently graduated from the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Cognitive Science and minor in Computer Science. There, I was highly involved with the design community as Co-President at Design Interactive. I'd love to connect with you!
Experience
March 2022 - March 2023
Design Interactive has provided me and many others with a supportive community to grow as a designer. I feel blessed to have led a team to continue creating those opportunities for new designers.

My internship at AWS gave me the opportunity to work in a technical space that challenged my design thinking, while being mentored by a wonderful team. I also had lots of fun spending time with fellow interns at my office.
Through my roles at various design organizations on campus, I gained valuable experience working in cross-functional settings to create successful projects.

In my free time
I love connecting with people through music and finding new songs to add to my rotation. Some of my recent favorites are Valley, Weston Estate, and Beabadoobee.
My new Kindle has helped me overcome my reading slump and I'm excited to check books off my to-read list again. Currently reading Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sukegawa.
Although it can be hard to go to the gym some days, weightlifting has been empowering and pushes me to challenge myself both physically and mentally.
It all started in middle school with some Pillsbury cake mix. Since then, I've learned to bake anything from macarons to bread, and always love sharing it with friends and family.
